Dafydd Evans is a managing director in the London office and part of the global M&A Advisory practice.
Focused on the European mid-market, Dafydd has over 18 years of corporate finance experience across both M&A and restructuring, with a particular expertise in the Industrials, Engineering/Materials and Aerospace/Defense sub-sectors. Dafydd has a strong track record in originating, leading and executing a number of transactions for UK and European corporates, private equity and owner-managed businesses.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Dafydd was at DC Advisory Partners (formerly Close Brothers Corporate Finance) for seven years as a leading member of their successful European Industrials M&A team, and prior to that in the Corporate Finance team at PwC for six years. During his career, he has completed a number of high profile transactions including the recent sale of Pirtek Europe to PNC Riverach Capital, advising Independent Forgings and Alloys on the investment of growth capital by BGF, the sale of Hydro International to Agilitas, the sale of Omar Group to Rutland Partners, the sale of Fibercore to Safety Tech Inc and the sale of Mettis Aerospace to Stirling Square Capital Partners.
Prior to his career in Investment Banking, Dafydd gained operational experience as a Product Engineer with Corus plc (now TATA Europe) and Alcan Rolled Products.
Dafydd received his M.A. in Materials Science from St. Anne’s College, Oxford University. He was also a successful rugby player, representing the university (gaining three Blues) and his country at Schools, Students and Under 21 levels. Dafydd is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
