Neal Wieschhaus joined Duff and Phelps in 2012 as a director, leveraging more than 27 years of tax, real estate and business incentives experience. Neal is based in St. Louis and is part of the Site Selection and Incentives Advisory group.
 
Prior to joining Duff and Phelps, Neal was a senior manager in Emerson Electric’s Corporate Tax Department where he was responsible for business incentives and indirect taxes. His experience includes site selection, business incentives negotiation, benchmarking business incentives, and business incentives compliance. He also has expertise in buying and selling transferrable state income tax credits. During his career, Neal has managed over two hundred major incentives projects for clients in the manufacturing, telecommunications and professional services industries. He has consistently negotiated incentives packages sufficient to fund an average of 20% of project capital spend.

Neal holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Saint Louis University, and a M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. He is a certified public accountant, and has received the CMI designation from the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT).
